About
Welcome, welcome, welcome! I’m so grateful that you’ve stopped by.
My name is Sara. I’m an environmentalist, geographer, and yoga & barre instructor with a passion for all things yoga and wellness. I have degrees in Environmental Science and Policy and Geography and Environmental Planning, and I am a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500). I have also completed teacher trainings for Baltimore Barre and TRX Yoga. I’m always striving to learn more and expand my knowledge.
On a typical day, you can find me practicing yoga, spending quality time with my husband, our beautiful daughter, and our two little pups or making a mess in the kitchen trying out some new recipes. On this page you’ll find a little bit of everything, a little bit of yoga, a little bit of wellness, a little bit of sustainability, a little bit of mom life, you name it.
Ten facts about me:
- I hate the sound of Styrofoam. It’s worse than nails on a chalkboard for me.
- I love turtles, always have, always will. I’m practically that kid in that one Youtube video.
- I watched a Sesame Street scene on water conservation when I was younger and I think about it pretty much every time I brush my teeth. (In the scene the kid uses water to brush his teeth and while he’s letting the water run unnecessarily, it taking away the water from the fish that needs it to survive).
- I used to laugh at the really sad parts of movies because it would make me uncomfortable.
- I can re-watch shows and movies a ridiculous amount of times before getting bored. More than anyone else I know.
- I love matching outfits and seeing others in matching outfits. I think there’s nothing cuter than a mom or dad and their mini matching. I plan to have many matching family photos (dogs included) in the future.
- I would rather be cold than hot. It’s so much easier to bundle up and wear layers than it is to cool yourself down.
- I’m very picky, but also can be super indecisive, especially with big life decisions. Follow your intuition!
- My favorite food as a kid was cream of broccoli and broccoli cheddar soup.
- Gratitude is my go-to mantra.
Namaste.
